    A Message from our Founder

What does it mean to live a Good Life?

Ancient philosophers and modern social scientists alike point to a similar conclusion: a Good Life is a life filled with a sense of meaning and purpose.

While a Good Life can take a variety of shapes, it almost always involves strong personal relationships, the pursuit of meaningful work, engagement in various hobbies, and an exploration and continued learning of ourselves and the world around us. In other words, a Good Life is multi-faceted, nuanced, and involves both positive and negative experiences and emotions.

Today’s youth have been exposed to a great deal of messaging that can seem to contradict the research. This messaging often positions wealth, material possessions, personal appearance and superficial relationships as the most important goals to achieve “happiness.” We are seeing the impact of this messaging through a steady decline in mental health and wellbeing amongst young people today.

Over the past 8 years, our students at Discover Year have been uplifted and inspired through their interactions with our incredible Mentors during our weekly ‘Good Life Conversations.’ We want to support a wider audience of young people who stand to benefit from these wise, open-minded, and generous people through the Good Life Summit. During this engaging event, students and young adults will have the chance to connect with our inspiring Mentors through an interactive Q&A and start their journey to living a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

Our Good Life Conversations are authentic, relevant and meaningful for young people. If you’d like to invest in the health and well being of today’s youth, we would love to partner with you.

    Here’s to a Good Life!
